Pedagogical Political Project

Escola Comunitária de Campinas (ECC) is committed to an educational approach that values the active participation of students and promotes fundamental values for human development. Having a well-defined Pedagogical Political Project is crucial, as it serves as a guide for all educational practices within the school, ensuring coherence and alignment with the established principles.

By prioritizing values such as solidarity, respect, ethics, justice and freedom, the school not only seeks the academic development of its students, but also their integral formation as responsible and conscientious citizens. The emphasis on students’ ability to critically read the world around them is particularly important, as it prepares them to face challenges and contribute constructively to society.

The school’s democratic and participatory approach is essential for creating a sense of belonging and community among all members, including students, teachers, staff and parents. This not only strengthens the bonds within the school, but also promotes a more collaborative and enriching learning environment.

The second important pillar for the Escola Comunitária identity concerns the physical infrastructure and resources available for teaching and learning activities.

The school has a vast area of 35,000 square meters, made up of classrooms equipped with multimedia resources. It also offers specialized spaces for different forms of learning, such as the Computer, Science and Maker Labs, along with a room dedicated to active methodologies and a library.

In addition to traditional classrooms, students have access to a variety of outdoor spaces that complement their learning experience. This includes squares, parks, communal areas, soccer fields, gymnasiums and sports courts, which provide an environment conducive to students’ all-round development.

The school’s third fundamental pillar lies in its teaching team, the curriculum and the methodology adopted. The team is made up of highly qualified and constantly updated professionals, dedicated to discussing issues relevant to contemporary education.

At the Escola Comunitária, we recognize that knowledge is a collective construction, where each student is encouraged to follow their own learning path and establish meaningful connections with the world around them. This approach values both student autonomy and collaboration within the school community, thus promoting an education that prepares students to face the challenges of reality.

The last pillar supporting the school’s identity is formed by interactions and daily coexistence. As mentioned earlier, although a well-structured curriculum, a competent teaching team and an effective methodology are essential elements for education, it is through the interactions between individuals that this pedagogical process takes place.

The relationships established in the classroom, both between students and between students and teachers, play a crucial role in promoting values such as respect and tolerance.

At ECC, we implement programs that encourage the development of these relationships and deal proactively with issues such as violence and problems arising from the use of digital technologies.

In addition, we have a significant project aimed at combating racism, with discussions that permeate our daily lives and promote reflections on how to deconstruct the racist relationships present not only in society, but also in our school environment.

Coexistence and interaction between members of the Escola Comunitária play a vital role in building solid knowledge and promoting fundamental values.
