The management of the Escola Comunitária de Campinas (ECC) is carried out by the Sociedade Comunitária de Educação e Cultura (Community Society of Education and Culture), through direct, representative and voluntary bodies.

Decision-making takes place in three main bodies: the General Members’ Assembly, the Community Council and the Board of Directors.

At the General Members’ Meeting, which is attended by all the families and professionals connected with the ECC, the Society’s administrative issues are discussed and decided.

The Community Council plays a central role in debating the key issues facing the school community.

For its part, the Board of Directors is in charge of carrying out the activities outlined in the Management Plan, presented at the General Members’ Meeting. This board is made up of six volunteer directors, including fathers, mothers and ECC professionals.

In addition to the deliberative bodies, the school is managed by two groups: the Pedagogical Board and the Operational Board.

The Pedagogical Board comprises the coordinators of the regular courses and the Pedagogical Directorate, while the Operational Board, which is responsible for administrative matters, is made up of various coordinators, such as the Executive, Academic, Communications and so on.

There are also working groups made up of the school’s members, formed by Operational Committees, which can be permanent or transitional.
